How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your Cotidie account directly from within the app. Follow these steps:

Open Cotidie
Launch the Cotidie app on your device and sign in to your account.
Go to Settings
Navigate to your Profile tab, then tap Settings (gear icon).
Select "Delete Account"
Scroll down to the Account section and tap "Delete Account".
Confirm Deletion
Read the information about what will be deleted, then confirm your decision. You may be asked to re-enter your password for security.

Warning: Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once confirmed, all your data will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days. This action cannot be undone.

What Data Is Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from our servers:

Permanently Deleted

Email address and profile information
All journal entries and text content
Uploaded photos and images
Mood and emotion tracking data
AI chat history and insights
AI embeddings and analysis data
Achievements and streak records
Habit tracking data
Time capsule messages
Drawings and sketches
Search history
App preferences and settings

Retained for Limited Periods

Analytics data (Mixpanel): Pseudonymized data expires automatically within 36 months
Error logs (Sentry): Automatically deleted after 90 days
Subscription records (RevenueCat): Retained as required by financial regulations (up to 10 years)

Retained data cannot be used to identify you after account deletion.

Important Notes

Active subscriptions: Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription. Please cancel your subscription through the App Store or Google Play before deleting your account to avoid further charges.
Data on your device: Locally stored data (such as Secret Vault entries) is removed when you uninstall the app.
Processing time: All data is permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days of your request.
Backups: Your data may persist in encrypted backups for up to an additional 30 days, after which it is permanently purged.

If you are unable to access the app, you can request account deletion by email:

Include: The email address associated with your Cotidie account
Response time: We will process your request within 30 days
